MAX3232E is a 3.3V-powered, dual-channel, low-power RS-232 transceiver with high ESD protection, fully compliant with the requirements of the TIA/EIA-232 standard.
It includes two drivers and two receivers, featuring enhanced ESD protection capable of withstanding over 15kV Human Body Model (HBM) ESD and 8kV IEC-4100-4-2 contact discharge.
Powered by a 3.3V supply, its internal charge pump requires only four external 1μF capacitors to achieve error-free data transmission of at least 120Kbps, and it can be independently enabled or disabled.
Each driver and receiver can operate independently.
